Newbies and ninjas alike take part in a free, all-day offering of workshops, presentations and breakout sessions regarding all things mobile technology. And what about UI in this ever increasing market of devices and operating systems?
14:00-15:00	Crossplatform multimedia .NET apps: Introduction to LibVLCSharp by VideoLAN Martin Finkel 14:00-15:00 How do I get playback support for most video formats in my app? How can I cast my media to a Chromecast? How do I get reliable hardware decoding in a crossplatform way (less battery/CPU usage)? Those are some of the questions we will be answering at the meetup. If you’re a .NET developer interested in media (video and audio) and would like to have a reliable way to play any video/audio media on any device, then this presentation is for you. Our key topics will be: -Explain the VideoLAN nonprofit’s mission and opensource projects, including VLC -Discuss best practices on how to consume C code from .NET in a crossplatform way -Show LibVLCSharp’s .NET API, samples and roadmap
15:00-16:00	Azure Functions, AI & Xamarin – How to Use the Cloud to Your Advantage Mark Arteaga 15:00-16:00 With the fast pace that technology is moving these days you might see terms such as AI, machine learning, and serverless computing. Ever wonder how you can use these in your development projects? During this session we will cover high level ‘What is serverless computing,’ see how to leverage Azure functions with Xamarin, and inject some AI into our functions all initiated from an iOS and Android app. We will work through a sample application built using Xamarin Forms and slowly add features to make our app better! 16:00-17:00	Xamarin.Forms + ReactiveUI = Andres Pineda 16:00-17:00 Reactive Programming is here to stay and we can see it by its adoption in many different programming languages. This is an introductory talk with the objective of showing how we can implement ReactiveUI in our Xamarin.Forms applications and with this make them more reactive.

David Ortinau

David is a Senior Program Manager for Mobile Developer Tools at Microsoft, focused on Xamarin.Forms. A .NET developer since 2002, and versed in a range of programming languages, David has developed web, environmental, and mobile experiences for a wide variety of industries. After several successes with tech startups and running his own software company, David joined Microsoft to follow his passion: crafting tools that help developers create better app experiences. When not at a computer or with his family, David is running through the woods.

Andrew Hoefling

Andrew is a Lead Software Engineer for FileOnQ and works on mobile apps for Government, First Responders, and More using Xamarin and .NET Technologies. He has been using .NET and Microsoft Technologies since 2006 and has a Bachelor of Science from Rochester Institute of Technology in Game Design and Development. Prior to FileOnQ, Andrew was an independent consultant running his own software business, he has a background in Enterprise Software building custom web portals for large corporations as well as small projects used by general consumers. He is an active Open Source contributor, .NET Foundation Member and a DNN MVP.
